Children's Day Speech for School Celebration

 Be mild, be a child

Jump, play and make the ride

Smile wide keep phone aside

Run, play and watch the tide

Open wings, fly in swings

Spin, play and enjoy the day

It’s your day and

It’s children’s day

Delightful afternoon to our respected chief guest, respected principal, dear teachers and dear students,

“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country”, said India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He is well-known as “Chacha Nehru”.  He had abundant love for children. In order to commemorate his birth anniversary, every year November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru brought a revolution in the field of education in India. He established All India Institute of Medical Sciences, the Indian Institutes of Technology, the Indian Institutes of Management, the National Institutes of Technology and many more.

Children’s day gains its full meaning when children are

Cared truly,

Loved unconditionally,

Nurtured lovingly,

Respected sincerely,

Grown carefully,

Welcomed warmly,

Led democratically,

Taught clearly and

Guided merrily.

It is the wish of every great leader. Our great inspirer, Dr. APJ Abdulkalam wishes that “let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow”.

Our Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru wishes that “Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and loving nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. Only through right education a better order of society can be built up”.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru says that “Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden.”

Khalil Gibran, a poet and writer says that “Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you.

And though they are with you, they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.

For they have their own thoughts.”

On this very special day, let us all celebrate the innocence and purity of our kids. Let the children feel precious in every way because they are our future. Happy Children’s Day!

Thank you!
